I'm Juan.
I'm a lawyer. I've spent years making decisions in my own operations and other people's.

I started in corporate law because I liked the idea of contracts as operating systems between parties. Since 2018 drafting, negotiating, and managing complex matters at Candelario Abogados, the family firm. Still going. I think like a lawyer when I design flows: what happens when something fails, what's reversible, what isn't.
Over the years my focus shifted. What interested me most stopped being the contract and started being the practice that executes it. Professionals don't fail for lack of technical knowledge. They fail for lack of systems to operate that knowledge.
Today I'm COO of SPREAD, an operation with teams distributed across four countries. I co-founded iUS Online in 2019 and Reviste in 2024. I write every Tuesday in Exoesqueleto Cerebral, my newsletter.
I write for lawyers, doctors, architects, consultants, marketing professionals, and any knowledge professional in LATAM with an established practice operating under their own responsibility. The thesis is simple: a professional practice is sustained by systems, not by scattered advice. That's what I'm mapping out every Tuesday.
I write because thinking out loud forces me to decide better. Publishing the reasoning is the most honest way I know how to work: if the criterion doesn't hold up in writing, it probably doesn't hold up in practice either.
